the mfa low residency programs consist of 4 on-campus residencies, each followed by a low-residency semester, and a final graduation residency. students may enter the program in any semester.

financial aid options
students in the mfa in creative writing program are eligible for federal stafford student loans, and for both gi bill and yellow ribbon program (post 9/11 gi bill) financial aid.
several merit- and/or need-based scholarships are available from the office of graduate admissions for mfa in creative writing students.
snu tuition scholarships: $4000 per semester for four active semesters
exceptional manuscript scholarship: based on outstanding merit of the manuscript. scholarship application not required.
international student scholarship: for students living outside the united states and its territories.
trailhead scholarship: for students entering in the spring semester.
snu residency scholarship: to offset residency and travel costs for five active residencies
two pines travel scholarship: up to $1,000.00 per residency.
nevada resident scholarships: 15% discount for four active semesters
