Uncanny Aluminum Casting
|Learn how to turn clay into metal. For 6000 years humans have been casting metals, but to this day the art form is shrouded in mystery. In this workshop, we will demystify the art of metal casting and explore the process of creating a finished aluminum cast wall hanging artwork. Through utilizing basic mold-making techniques, the standard investment casting process, and dissecting the tools and supplies needed to set up a personal foundry, participants will leave this workshop with a knowledge of the foundry that can be used anywhere.|
